Evie's year in education after winning step up & shine competition

After winning the 2017 Step Up & Shine competition, launched in honour of Christofer Mann, Evie Scrowston, 19, has completed a year of education. Guided by her mentor Debbie G, who provided the opportunity for her to appear on stage at Salon International, Evie took courses with ghd and the Sassoon Academy and ended the year with jack Howard, international colourist at his L’Oréal Advanced colouring workshop. Evie commented: “Winning Step Up & SHINE has really helped boost my confidence as a hairdresser and has given me the push I needed to go on courses and learn new skills and techniques that will help me grow and develop in my career.” She continued: “I’m so grateful for everything that Debbie G and everyone at the NHF and the Fellowship has done for me over the past 12 months, it’s been a life changing experience!”
