The Estée Lauder Companies UK&I, Aveda UK&I and Bumble & bumble UK&I has announced their support of UK salon partners by covering the cost of the Apprenticeship Levy.
The professional haircare company is dedicated to helping advance professional haircare and beauty skills.
What is the Apprenticeship Levy?
The Apprenticeship Levy is a fund created to support the development of skills and talent through apprenticeships. Businesses with a payroll of over £3 million contribute 0.5% of their payroll to this fund.
Employers who do not use all their levy funds within the tax year can transfer up to 50% of their annual levy pot to other businesses, to pay for their apprenticeship training and assessment.
The transferred funds are sent directly to the apprenticeship training provider delivering the approved training for the apprentice. This ensures that funds are used specifically for training that is aligned with apprenticeship standards.
Laura Maxwell, Vice President/ General Manager, Haircare Cluster, The Estée Lauder Companies UK&I said: "We’re proud to support our fantastic hair salon partners by covering the cost of apprenticeship training, as part of our commitment to investing in professional haircare skills and future talent."
Available Apprenticeship Standards in Hair and Beauty include the following, helping to support professional skills and progression within our sector:
- Hairdressing Professional Level 2
- Advanced & Creative Hair Professional Level 3
- Barbering Professional Level 2
