Essensuals manchester stars in coronation street

Essensuals Manchester were excited to be chosen as a filming location for ITV's award-winning soap, Coronation Street.

A number of staff members were included in scenes with the show's resident hairdresser, David Platt, while the salon interior also got plenty of screen-time.

Scheming wannabe salon-owner David took on a job at an upmarket location away from the Street - although his luck didn't last long and he was soon fired from his new role.

Salon owner Matthew Barton said: "We were honoured to be chosen as a filming location for ITV's flagship show, and even had a few people call the salon asking for an appointment with David Platt - we went along with them and told them he got the sack yesterday!"
