The hairdressing icon - who received an MBE for services to the industry in 2008 - will be officially sworn in at a handover ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in April.

A firm believer in mentoring young talent, Errol already has projects planned to encourage youth membership as well as ideas for building the Fellowship's profile internationally.

On his appointment, Errol said: "This is an incredible honour and I'm really looking forward to steering and further boosting the profile of a crucial and truly prestigious organisation from the top. My peers as past Presidents have made a huge contribution in the areas of membership drive and consumer facing awareness for the Fellowship."
