1. Choose which category you would like to enter
2. Take 3 pictures of before, during application (this MUST be a photo of applying the extensions) and after application
3. Send these pictures along with your name to [email protected]

Our judge’s advice for entering

We quizzed our panel of expert judges on their tips for entering and what they’re looking for in your entry and on the day… 

Raminta Doskute, Flawless Extensions by Raminta

What is important for you to see in the finalist’s work? “I’m looking for natural looking extensions, so you cannot tell the model is wearing any,” says Raminta. “Application, colour matching and the blending and cutting are the most important criteria I will focus on.” What are your top three tips for those entering this year?

• Concentrate on creating something really interesting and different, because every year the entries are getting better and better!
• It’s important not to forget about neat, professional fitting and blending.
• And the most important thing is to believe in yourself!

What is important for you to see in the finalist’s work? “I will be looking out for those that can create the most natural looking hair extensions using various techniques and methods”.

Louise Bailey , Louise Bailey Hair

What is important for you to see in the finalist’s work? “It’s really all about what’s underneath for me,” says Louise. “You can do the best end-look, but I need to see the placement, the tension, as well as the layering and blending of the extensions to check it has been created correctly.”

Roberto Silva, Roberto Hair Extensions

What are your tips for entering?  “I guess my top tip from judging the competition previously is to stick to the method you love and truly believe in. You can tell those who want to stand out by doing something different, they are not actually comfortable with that method, and this comes across,” says Roberto. “Give 100% on what you do best to scoop the award. Also use good quality hair extensions to make sure you have a great entry, and your model can then enjoy a great set of hair extensions too,” he adds.
