Hair by Leigh Keates at the Emilio de la Morena Autumn/Winter 2014 show was a study in contrasts; sleek and side-parted at the front and loose and textured at the back.
The show: Emilio de la Morena Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Leigh Keates, global creative director for Cloud Nine
The look: A sleek side-parted look from the front with long, loose texture at the back
The inspiration: Emilio's ideal woman - strong and self assured but still with a youthful, girlish feel
The key product: Cloud Nine C9 Touch
Get the look
1. Apply mousse to dry hair, section by section. Dry in with your fingers.
2. Use a pintail comb to create a precise side parting, directly above the arch of the left eyebrow.
3. Apply more mousse to the section below the parting, right at the roots. Dry in, using the Cloud Nine Dressing Brush to get hair completely flat to the head.
4. Repeat on the opposite side. Apply hair oil to add a high-shine finish.
5. Take random sections at the back of the head, twist, then wrap around the Cloud Nine Waving Wand (set at a low temperature). Roll the hair around the wand to prevent creating a perfect wave.
6. Brush through the hair, then ball up in your hand and clamp quickly with the Cloud Nine C9 Touch to set the texture in place. Rake through all of the hair with your fingers to create volume and a tousled texture. Spray to finish.
