Eleventh Hour Beauty is supporting the hair industry during the coronavirus by providing a platform to keep in touch with clients and help prepare businesses when salons re-open.
The online booking platform, which helps hair businesses and professionals fill empty booking slots, has adapted its website to allow salons and freelancers to arrange ‘catch-up’ appointments to keep in-touch with loyal clients and pre-book appointments for after the lockdown.
The catch-ups can be conducted for virtual consultations, advice on DIY home treatments or even for just a friendly catch up. Plus, for every salon, freelancer or customer that signs up to the platform, Eleventh Hour Beauty will be donating £1 to the
Hair & Beauty Charity Covid-19 Relief Fund.
While it’s
still uncertain how salons will operate after the lockdown restrictions are lifted, including how many clients will be allowed in salons at any one time, Eleventh Hour Beauty hopes that this new function will help stylists gauge demand for services. Additionally, the service will be offered for free for eleven weeks once salons re-open.
“Once we all know when we can start trading again, we will be swamped with enquiries,” says founder and beauty therapist, Abigail Fletcher. “However, some clients will book several appointments in one go, and across different services, which they may not attend. We do not want to be losing revenue in an already difficult financial period, and Eleventh Hour will be able to match your last-minute appointment with the clients who need them, minimising your loss of income.”
“The donation to the
Hair & Beauty Charity will help those in our industry who are the hardest hit and most vulnerable,” she adds.
Over £1.2 million is lost in the hair industry alone in missed appointments each year, according to research from
Powered by Flossie. So, Eleventh Hour Beauty seeks to address this by pairing customers wanting last-minute appointments with salons offering them.
