Mark Woolley and the intrepid team from Electric Hairdressing recently embarked on an epic drive from Brighton to Bologna to present at Cosmoprof. Stylist Ky Wilson has been keeping a diary for us - the last instalment saw the team stranded in the snow, so did they manage to escape?
"Not only having experienced the French and Italian ways of life, now the Electric boys experience living like Eskimos. The van has frozen up and conditions are getting worse - every other vehicle in sight were ones that had crashed in the road, blocking every entrance in to the ferry port. The impatient other drivers don't stop to help, being only concerned about themselves.
"Then, the night Ferry was cancelled. Our response? 'Let's crack the wine open and make this jolly."
"After getting acclimatized to the new parking spot, we were up and off on a mission to get some food with the boys finally working out how to use the gas cooker. Sausage sandwiches on French baguettes with onion soup to wash it down - hot food! Warm bodies!
"Charlie went missing for quite an alarming time. None the less, on his return he tells us we have another place to go with wifi, electricity and warmth. We take refuge, charging our phones, checking emails and calling our loved ones.
"We enjoyed a night of stories and games, all sitting round a cramped table and keeping warm by sitting in our sleeping bags - somewhat replicating a stereotypical vision of a old foks' nursing home...
"We're all ready for the 05h30 hours ferry home, hoping this time it will depart..."
