HJ is on the hunt for a barbershop or men's salon that is making waves within the industry for our British Hairdressing Business Awards 2019. The prestigious awards recognise the outstanding contributions that have been made and we want to hear from barbershops or men's salons just like yours.
The Male Grooming Salon / Barbershop of the Year category is open to all barbers and salons that cater for male clients. Male grooming is such a huge part of the hairdressing business sector, so we want to reward the best of the best for their sterling work.
And, good news, it's easier than ever to enter HJ's British Hairdressing Business Awards. For 2019, all entries must be submitted online -
just click here to find out how easy it is - and we have also introduced the option of creating a short video*. It's also worth mentioning that the awards are free to enter, so what have you got to lose?
As well as the Male Grooming Salon / Barbershop of the Year award, there are 16 other classic categories. Plus, we have some exciting new ones too - like the Social Stylist of the Year. If you're a whizz at creating hype around your latest Instagram posts and your inbox is flooded with direct messages from followers wanting you to work your hair magic, then this is the award for you. Entrants can be freelance or based in a salon - we want to hear from you all.
If you're curious about the timeline of events, here's the key dates to know:
The deadline for entries is Friday 14 June by 5pm, so
make sure you check out the entry form here.
The British Hairdressing Business Awards 2019 will be held on Monday 9th September 2019 at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London.
If you are shortlisted in the Business Director of the Year, Manager of the Year, Salon Stylist of the Year or Junior of the Year categories, you will be required to attend a 30-minute interview taking place in central London on either Monday 22 July or Tuesday 23 July. If you are unable to attend in person you will automatically be disqualified from the Awards.
Best of luck with entering! Just think how good an award will look in your barbershop...
*With the exception of Social Stylist of the Year, where entrants
must complete a video as part of their entry process.
