Dj muldoon and joan novak attend the electric sessions DJ Muldoon and Joan Novak were among the international guests at the infamous Electric Sessions founded by hair stylist, Mark Woolley. The Electric Sessions have a goal to keep stylist up to date with trends and innovative ways to use Electric Professional products. The sessions are regularly hosted at the Electric Studio in Brighton and on the road across the USA and Canada. The sessions have always been with a guest artist focus. This year’s the enthused audience of team members, Electric Professional Product salon stockists, influencers and local Brighton salon stylists enjoyed the company of award winning USA based educator, DJ Muldoon and award-winning Canadian colourist, Joan Novak. The two presented their looks, all prepped and styled using the Electric Professional products. DJ presented a disconnected bob which sat at the jawline, removing density and bulk in the back section, whilst layering the top section one bit. Joan, on the other hand, wanted his look to have a solid feel with a very subtle mid length brighter reflection quality. The duo created a Ying & Yang fell to the two models’ colours with a cool mod Electric British vibe to it. Mark Wolley and Sean Dawson from the Electric Art Team also presented their hairstyles. Mark showed a 1970s style mullet with a subtle perimeter shape with a heavier fringe and a broken weight line against the length to make it Electric. Sean, however, showed a more commercial take with a Debbie Harry inspired asymmetric interior haircut with a side parting and over directed square layers. For his final look DJ showcased a strong sharp cut with choppy short layers through the top sections and a micro fringe. Joan kept the feature piece on the models fringe rich and deep with subtle details. He stayed true to his signature subtle details that at first glance cannot be recognised, but the more you look those details reveal themselves. Of the night, Mark Woolley said: “What a night! It was great to welcome DJ Muldoon back and Joan into the #ElectricFamily and share their skills and passion for the craft. The night was the ideal showcase of cool mod with a great British vibe and really showcasing the new Electric Professional products coming to salons soon.”
