Denman stage star's tia gentles gets starry eyed at the bhas

Denman’s annual Stage Star competition gives each winner a year of opportunities and experiences, including a seat at the Denman table at the British Hairdressing Awards. Tia Gentles took the title at Salon International in October and joined the Denman team at this years BHAs. It’s the most glittering night in the hairdressing calendar and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity and join-up with like minded creatives. Tia said: “I was so excited, but nervous as well. I had never been before so could only imagine what it would be like. I was in awe. Being around so many talented hairdressers and the people I have looked up to for so many years was just incredible. Denman looked after me so well, too!” Tia was hosted by Denman CEO Kevin McNamee and the senior team from marketing and sales, who made sure that she was introduced to the great and the good of British hairdressing. Tia was in the perfect spot to see the Professor Green performance and nominees' show up-close and watch the awards unfold with the hilarious Katherine Ryan as host. Seeing people's work on stage, and even in the images on the screen, was so inspiring and got my brain thinking of what I could do to make sure that one day my name will be up there. I would recommend going to the BHAs to everyone. It's such an amazing experience," said Tia. As part of the Stage Star prize, Tia will be doing a professional shoot with Desmond Murray and creating her very own collection. Last year’s winner, James Forte, finalised as Newcomer with the collection he created with Desmond - and Tia’s mind is already spinning with ideas.
