Denman celebrate 80 years of iconic brushes

Denman celebrated 80 years of styling hair around the world with a
Friends of Denman 80
th birthday dinner on October 13
th.
The renowned brush-makers welcomed their international distributors as well as a selection of guests that included HJ Publisher Jayne Lewis-Orr, Electric Hairdressing Founder Mark Woolley and award-winning Afro hairdresser Junior Green to The Sipping Room.
The celebration included a toast from Chairman Dr John Rainey MBE who told guests he hoped he would still be there for the 100 year anniversary.
"I feel that i have lived through the history of hairdressing - as we know it. I attended the very first Salon International in London in 1972 and haven’t missed one yet.
"I have seen the industry worldwide develop in professionalism, sophistication and creativity. Hairstylists assuming rock star status. At Denman, we have kept up with and in some cases led those trends. We are very pleased that we have been able to contribute in our small way to this success story.
"In this age of anonymity in business , I believe personal contact is increasingly important. I want to do business with people I know and like. Thank you for your friendship and for joining us this evening.
To mark the anniversary Global Creative Director Paul has created beautiful new brand imagery that shows how Denman have taken iconic products and made them modern. He also gave a heart-felt toast at the fun-filled celebration.
