Davines has launched I Sustain Beauty; a new global campaign dedicated to supporting beauty in every form.
Through their worldwide network of salons, Davines is encouraging every stylist to come up with a project to make the world more beautiful.
There are three categories to choose from: Artistic Beauty, dedicated to creating and improving works of art both public and private; Social Beauty, dedicated to community and social projects; and Environmental Beauty, dedicated to improving and enhancing the environment.
Stylists are encouraged to document their good deeds and upload them to a dedicated website,
www.isustainbeauty.com
To kickstart the project, Davines has taken the major step of helping to restore three unique pieces of furniture in Venice in association with the Venetian Heritage Foundation. Dating back to 1748, the benches were damaged through flooding. Once restored, they will be showcased to the public in one of the city's major museums.
Said Chairman, Davide Bollati: "Davines has explored the world of beauty from many different angles and today we are ready to take a step forward by asking hairdressers to take part; to become protagonists and activists of the concept of Davines Sustainable Beauty. Beauty is subjective and cultural and we look forward to receiving contributions with images and videos to celebrate the I Sustain Beauty campaign to help make our world more beautiful."
