Acclaimed colourist Daniel Galvin recently celebrated his fiftieth year in the industry. He received an OBE in 2006 for his contribution to hair colour and hairdressing as a whole.
With a 9,000 sq ft salon in the heart of London, Daniel was an early pioneer of the 'super salon' concept and in keeping with his emphasis on colour, the salon's entire ground floor is dedicated to the art.
Daniel also has a salon in London's Corinthia hotel, which includes the Movie Makeover Room - a glamorous private VIP space.
When a delighted Daniel collected his OBE from the Queen in 2006, he told HJ: "I am thrilled and completely honoured to accept this award. It is the highest accolade imaginable and I have really found it unbelievable that I have been recognised in this way."
