Daks celebrates 125th anniversary during ss20 fashion show

DAKS is proud to celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2019 and were delighted to present their SS20 collections during this milestone year. This style, from DAKS runway show was complimented  with a bucket hat, headscarf or large frame sunglasses on the catwalk, enabling the the hair to fall gently around each of the accessories. Location: Dartmouth House, Mayfair, London Designer. Inspiration was captured from the late 1940's from then the Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Royal couple spent two romantic years of their marriage on the beautiful island of Malta. Influenced by their journey and time on the island, the DAKS SS20 collection named ‘The Royal Haven’ embodies the ambience of Malta, whilst taking a nostalgic direction through the shapes, colours and styling used throughout. The hair, inspired by an aristocrat's recreation abroad in a sun drenched Mediterranean country staying by the sea. It has a high-end aesthetic look, that focuses a worked in volume finish with lived in roots caused by frolicking in the sun. The hair feels playful but maintained with a polished, sleek satin look. How To: 1: Damp down hair by spraying it with water and preparing the hair liberally with R+Co ONE Prep Spray to even porosity and to aid product distribution. 2: Apply JACKPOT Styling Crème to the roots, paying attention to the hairline around the face. 3: Blow-dry hair using R+Co Natural Boar Bristle brushes, focusing on creating root lift and smoothing around the face. 4: Whilst blow-drying, create 6 sections that allow volume and lift by following the head shape. Set each section by rounding with the bristle brush and clipping away from the face. 5: Once set; tong each section away from the face using a medium sized tong, using R+Co GRID Structural Hold Setting Spray. 6: Brush hair back using new R+Co BALLOON Dry Volume Spray to create expansion and fullness. 7: Spray and comb in R+Co VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray around the front of the hairline and away from the face to create a frame. 8: Finish by working R+Co FOIL Frizz + Static Control Spray into the mid length and ends of the hair and gentle backcomb movement using your hands. 9: Control any flyaways with R+Co DART Pomade Stick, focusing around the hairline to create a lived in effect.
