Creating hot pink for electro-pop hair

Over the next three months we'll be sharing lots of tips and techniques from some of the country's most-respected hair colourists for improving your hair colour business.

Here is how you can give hair an electro-pop feel for a strong edgy look, as created by Tom Kroboth for Schwarzkopf Professional.

• Section the top of the hair following the elongated points of the haircut, and colour with extra violet red to give a stunning vibrant pink shade.



• Take a 1cm section under the top section all the way around the head, and colour with violet black to separate and define the two colours.



• Colour the remaining underneath section with medium brown violet extra.



• Blast-dry hair and brush back for volume and texture.
