Rainbow Room International East Kilbride won Front of House Team of the Year at
HJ's 2014 British Hairdressing Business Awards. The judges called them 'passionate, pro-active and personable' - but what did winning do for business? We find out.
Why did you enter the British Hairdressing Business Awards?
The British Hairdressing Business Awards are a great representation of the talent that’s out there in the hairdressing industry. As a Front of House Team there’s less opportunity for us to enter awards as a lot of them are creative. We were really proud of the entry that we had put together for the Rainbow Room International’s annual congress awards and decided to just go for it.
What is the value of entering the British Hairdressing Business Awards?
Entering the British Hairdressing Business Awards is huge; you can’t really put a value on it.
How did it feel to win Front of House Team of the Year?
It’s a huge achievement as it’s a very customer-focused award. So it’s great to be recognised for our dedication to client service.
What has your win done for the business?
Our clients love the fact that we’ve won a British Hairdressing Business Award, it’s a great talking point for the staff in the salon and our clients. They like to let everyone know that the salon they go to is one of the best.
The judges said...
"A very personal insight - not corporate at all. Loved the idea of visiting other salons without the group to learn and compare notes."
"Lovely entry; great passion and personality. This entry really stood out."
"The outright winner for me. Roisin has shown her passion through proactive, monitoring and looking after customers with new ideas and systems."
