The search is on for the funniest and most creative business name in the UK - and with hilarious hair salon puns notorious on the high street, it could be a hairdressing business walking away with the prize.
The Punniest Business awards, launched by build-your-own-app service Appsme.com, aims to find the small business with the UK's most side-splitting name. Business owners and members of the public alike are invited to nominate their favourite best small business pun by sharing a photo on social media with the business's details and the #SmallBizPun hashtag. You can even nominate yourself!
Nick Barnett, CEO at Appsme, says: "We help small businesses market themselves by allowing them to create powerful mobile apps and, through this, we've seen how creative British entrepreneurs are when it comes to naming their business.
"We're all familiar with hair salons called A Cut Above and chippies named The Cod Father, but we're sure there are many more like these!"
The winner will receive an Apple Watch, a trophy and a suite of business applications to help them run their business on the go. Whoever nominates the winning business will also win their own Apple Watch.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of branding experts, trade journalists and the team at Appsme.
Closing date for entries is 7 June 2015
