Commercial and inspirational looks at lfw men's day

Published 26th Feb 2010

Komaki 1.jpgWednesday 24 February was Men's Day at London Fashion Week, and, while much of the fashion on display on the autumn/winter 2010 catwalks will need to be commercialised before it finds its way onto the average man on the street, many of the hair looks that complemented the designs were only a hair's breadth away from being salon-friendly.

AW10-ORead-0519-DB-bs-637.jpgThere were exceptions, of course, it's unlikely many male clients will be demanding any of the styles featured in the Orcshel Reid show. Tim Furssedonn of Toni & Guy headed up the team of hair stylists working on the show described the looks as "sado meets samurai".

Komaki 2.jpgWhile the fashion of Komakino's show was military-inspired, hair was softer, but still structured, highly textured and, in some cases, slightly preppy, creating a striking contrast with the clothes.

See what inspiration you can glean from this selection of images from the London catwalks.
