The UK winner of the ALFAPARF Milano Professional Next Color GenHAIRation Award has been announced as Mikey Lewis from bebop, London. Following the win, Mikey will represent the UK in the Global Final taking place in October 2023.
“A childhood by the seaside and a love of denim inspired me to create Denim Dreams. I am so thrilled to have won this award and look forward to the Global Finals,” shares Mikey. Meanwhile, the judged commented: "It was great to see the different new shades that the competitors had created; Mikey’s Denim Dreams shade was a beautiful and fresh take on blue, and we wish Mikey all the very best for the next stage of the competition."
To reach the UK final, competitors had to mix their favourite shades to create a brand-new colour and contemporary wearable shade and bring it to life on a weft of hair. Five finalists were then chosen to bring their colour to life on a model in a live final held in London. The other four UK finalists for the Next Color GenHAIRation Award were: − Julie Wells at Chop and Change − Valerio Ercolano at NCI Brixton − Tanahya Nash at bebop London − Andreea Bunescu at Master Style London The winner of the global competition will live a once-in-a-lifetime experience, with lots of ALFAPARF Milano Professional prizes that celebrate the endless bond between beauty and colour, including: Having their winning mixture produced by, and added to the ALFAPARF Milano Professional colour chart, participating in the ALFAPARF Milano Professional 2023 collection shoot, and observing behind the scenes and getting a sneak preview of the new collection and how it is produced.
