Clubstar art team learn with jonathan andrew

The ClubStar Art Team recently had the chance to spend the day at Jamie Stevens Salon in Kensington, London to learn from award-winning stylist Jonathan Andrew. On the day, Jonathan demonstrated how to utilise time with a model when on a photoshoot. He explained how best to adapt in the moment in a shoot environment, which can be quite frantic, by transforming the hair and making small changes. “It’s so common when you’re starting out to feel the need to get every single hair on the head looking perfect,” said Jonathan, “but that doesn’t always translate so well on the camera. In a high stress environment, it’s key to be able to think on the spot and adjust to get the best looks." The team thoroughly enjoyed their time with Jonathan, learning the ropes of an environment he has so much knowledge in. Post class team member Luke Hawkins from The Marvellous Hair Company said: “What a day! Jonathan rose through the ranks to get to where he is now, and he remains so humble. He has achieved a lot and was very willing and enthusiastic in helping us do the same. Our day spent with him really did prove why he is one of the most incredible hairdressers in the industry and why he has reached where he is.”
