Clipso salons have held their annual Young Superstar competition, which sees assistants and trainees competing for a variety of awards.
Each young stylist had to present a complete look on a model, explaining their concept, technique and thought process to a panel of judges including Trevor Sorbie's colour guru Nathan Walker, L'Oreal Professionnel technical consultant Angela Holland, and Essence PR's managing director Sam Grocutt.
Each winner was presented with £100 of gift vouchers, with runners up receiving £50 each.
Julia Webb, senior educator of the Clipso training academy commented: "I am extremely happy and so proud of all our trainees and assistant’s today, everyone who took part in the awards displayed such a high level of work. At Clipso education is very important to us and we’re very proactive at encouraging all team members to develop their skills. When it comes to the youngsters we make sure all of them are put through gruelling training as they are the future of the salon group."
