Christopher laird launches new education course
Stylist and salon owner Christopher Laird is hosting his debut education course for Schwarzkopf Professional this Spring, sharing tips and tricks for creating and capturing social media-friendly finishes. With 15,000 followers on Instagram and more than half a million views on TikTok, Christopher Laird has gained a reputation for producing seriously covetable looks. And while his trademark big, sexy, glamorous hair is always a favourite, Christopher’s social media savvy means he’s always ahead of the curve with trending styles. Fresh from working with the A-list during awards season, Christopher is now bringing his skills to Schwarzkopf Professional, with the brand new Social Media to Salon Floor Styling course. The one-day session will demonstrate how to take trending moments from social media and turn them into relevant and profitable salon services, through a combination of live demonstrations and practical sessions. As the king of capturing flawless content, the course will also include Christopher’s tips and tricks for creating beautiful stills and videos. “The aim of the course is to help other hairdressers refresh both their skills and their awareness,” says Chris, “so they can offer the clients the most desirable, modern finishes and fresh, trend-led styles. I’ll be sharing where I find new trends and how to work with them, and how you can use these techniques to build your clientele.” The days of a bog-standard blow-dry are behind us, and on this course, stylists will learn how to identify and work with trending looks like the Pamela Anderson bun, intricate noughties knots and wide, fluffy waves to create finishes that clients love.
