Cheryl v dannii hair off - dannii's waves wow

After two whole days at ExCel for Salon International, I'm pinning my eyes open with matchsticks to give my verdict on whether Cheryl or Dannii's locks come out on top in the style stakes tonight.

Dannii's gone for a low side parting, styled into loose waves which really accentuate her golden highlights.

It's another updo for Cheryl - come on girl, we're ready for a change now! This time it's a side parting with volume through the crown and a simple ponytail through the back.

Last week I raved about Cheryl's sassy ponytail, but this week it is just too girl-next-door. As the judges keep on saying about the acts 'it's time to put some fun back into it.

The verdict: For the record, I reckon Diane Vickers' larger-than-life fishtail plait out shone either of the judges, but tonight Dannii's waves get my nod.
