Avant garde hairdresser, Charlie le Mindu, kicked off London Fashion Week in suitably statement style, teaming up with Hairdreams extensions to style Amanda Lepore at the On|Off launch party.

Fashion week favourite Charlie styled New York nightclub host Amanda for the occasion with a Marilyn Monroe-inspired curled blonde wig and a show-stopping pastel pink cape formed entirely from Hairdreams extensions.

Dubbed as fashion's 'master of haute coiffure', Charlie teamed up with transexual model Amanda for a one-off performance to celebrate the launch of London Fashion Week. Using Hairdreams extensions as the basis for his design, Charlie created a flowing pink cape which perfectly complemented the high-octane dance routines of Amanda's three-song set.

The event also saw collaborations between visual artist Ryan Styles and surrealist Yang Du, Turner-prize winner Martin Creed and designer Matteo Molinari, band Early Morning Rebel and designer Bronwen Marshall and classical musician Marques Toliver and designer Cedric Jacquemyn.

Other attendees at the London Fashion Week launch event included model Irina Lazareanu, DJ Nat Weller and host Brendan Courtney.

The party also saw the presentation of the On|Off Land Rover Visionary Award, which was given to new design duo, Cunnington & Sanderson.

Models and guests at the event were styled by the RUSH Hair Artistic Team, led by Sam Burnett. Vintage-inspired rolls were the key look for the night, given a contemporary twist with a product-heavy wet look.
