Central Saint Martins BA Show The Central Saint Martins' BA show saw an explosion of creativity and high fashion hair to match, with a catwalk show in the impressive Granary Building in Kings Cross. This year sees L'Ore?al Professionnel and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design celebrating 15 years since forging this exciting partnership to nurture cutting edge talent. Recognising and promoting the way hair and fashion have been historically linked and to combine up-and-coming creative fashion with the industry's finest hairdressing talent. Monica Teodoro, General Manager for L’Ore?al Professionnel sums up the collaboration. “Hairstyles and hair colour say as much about you as the clothes you wear, therefore it is not only tremendously exciting, but absolutely vital for L'Ore?al Professionnel to forge a relationship with one of the most eminent fashion schools in the world. This ongoing partnership merges the very latest in fashion talent with the creativity of young hairdressers – a unique and inspired collaboration”. This view is echoed by Willie Walters, Course Director of BA Fashion at Central Saint Martins. “The free flow of ideas and creative energy is central to both industries. This collaboration is ground-breaking.”
This year’s panel of judges included Jefferson Hack, Susannah Frankel, Charles Jeffrey, Grace Wales-Bonner, Lutz Huelle, Yesmin O’Brien at sean hanna and Willie Walters, Course Director BA Fashion.   [hji-gallery-legacy]
The winners of the night were:- WINNER: Soyoung Park scooped the L’Ore?al Profssionnel Young Talent Award for her impressive knitwear collection. RUNNER UP: Yuhan Wang received her runner-up L'Ore?al Professionnel award from designer Hussein Chalayan RUNNER UP: Adnan Jalal Salman was also runner-up receiving his award from designer Molly Goddard L’Ore?al Professionnel is delighted to enable talent from the hairdressing industry to work alongside their fashion contemporaries, and has also worked with numerous Central Saint Martin’s graduates at London Fashion Week.
