Celebrate the bob with stunning imagery

The bob celebrated its 100th anniverary this year and while it continues to be one of the most popular hairstyles, it's also one of the most beautiful to photograph. Sassoon's Mark Hayes is the king of precision haircutting and his eye to detail is awe-inspiring.

A beautiful, well executed bob requires skill, talent and patience but the results are more than worth it. It is a look that suits almost every hair type and face shape and has stood the test of time. Over the years there have been plenty that have hit the headlines - Louise Brooks and Vidal Sassoon's iconic bob being two of the most famous.  In fact, when the first bob materialised there was such a backlash that the hairdresser vowed never to cut a women's hair into a bob again. Thankfully he did and it remains one of the most popular styles today.
