Ryan Harris from Angels in Aberdeen is one the 2011 Clynol Protégé Team and has spent the year enjoying education, stage shows and shoot experience.
Here's what Ryan has been up to lately with the latest instalment in the Protégé Team's 2011 diary:
Manchester, Clynol Profile Weekend
As the Clynol Protégé Team 2011 we were invited along to the Clynol Profile Weekend in Manchester, which was amazing.
Unfortunately, I was really unlucky as my flight from Aberdeen was delayed by six hours!
I was totally gutted as I completely missed the opportunity to get up on stage and introduce myself to the industry.
The Profile Weekend was seen as our opportunity to present ourselves to the rest of the Clynol hairdressers from all over the UK and put to work all of the presentation skills that we had learnt so far but the rest of the team did a great job of representing the team.
On the bright side, I arrived just in time for the meal and the awards ceremony in the evening. It was presented by ex-GMTV presenter Penny Smith and we saw all of the ambassadors get up on stage, presenting their work and the new Care and Style range. One of my colleagues even won a Business and Creative Award for Colour Hot Shot which we were very excited about.
London, Test Shoot
This was the day that I had been looking forward to - the opportunity to style my very own photo shoot. Although in the past I have helped out on photographic work with Angels, this was all about my own work and I couldn't wait to get stuck in.
As soon as I arrived I started work on my model. I coloured her hair a vibrant red and started on creating a sharp precision cut. I was so pleased with the look that I created because it was such a clear-cut and crisp look overall.
Everyone's work on the day was fantastic and when the shots were put together they look ace as a collection. We all work so well together and that's what I think is so great about being a Clynol Protégé!
