Brothers Constantinou Training Academy Announces Closure

Published 22nd Nov 2023 by Chloe Woodland

Brothers Constantinou Training Academy announces with a heavy heart the closure of its training school. For decades, the academy has played a pivotal role in inspiring and nurturing young, creative minds, guiding them to carve successful paths in the hair industry.

“We loved watching the trainees grow and become senior creatives themselves,” says Simon Constantinou, founder of Brothers Constantinou Training Academy. Simon acknowledges the immense support and loyalty received over the years, stating: "It has been an incredible journey, and we are immensely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving hairdressing community. The decision to close the academy was not taken lightly, but we believe it is the right time for this chapter to come to an end."

The training academy has worked with several salons across Cardiff and the Vale since the late 1980s. Over the past few years, Simon has taken a step back from training and had several of the team wishing to retire this year. Additionally, following a challenging time with the pandemic and dwindling numbers coming forward as work-based Apprentices, it seemed the appropriate time to take this step.

“A huge thank you to our amazing team who have shared our passion for all aspects of hairdressing and nurtured the young trainees. And thank you for all the salon owners’ support, trust and loyalty over that time, says Simon.

Simon invites everyone to stay connected for potential future private courses. Updates and information about any upcoming opportunities will be shared on the Simon Constantinou website.
