The average British woman will stay with her hairdresser longer than her husband, according to a new survey.
Research by NetVoucherCodes.co.uk reveals that while the average marriage lasts just 11 years and six months, most British women stay with their stylist for 12.4 years.
Finding that perfect partnership can take time though; the average women spends 1.8 years looking for the right hairdresser.
Once found, the relationship rockets in importance - with further results from the survey suggesting that a majority of women (53%) would put their hairdresser in the top ten most important people in their lives and that 9% would consider proximity to their favoured salon as a prime consideration when moving house.
A spokeswoman for NetVoucherCodes.co.uk commented: "The bond a woman has with her hairdresser is an extremely close one, and one she would not give up lightly.
"As our study found, women spend over a year trying to find the right hairdresser, so it is completely understandable that they remain with them for a long time.
"We were surprised to see however, that nearly one in ten women were prepared to take the location of their hairdresser as a serious consideration when moving house, that’s what I call commitment."
