What Happens at the Judging?

  • All photographs are given a number and code for the appropriate category.
  • All photographs are judged anonymously.
  • All photographs are displayed by category on boards as seen in a photographic gallery.
  • Judges are unable to see the names or salon names of the entries.
  • Any judge who has an entrant in a category in their employ, or has given advice to any entrant in a category, is not allowed to judge that category.
  • As each judge completes their judging form for one category, their form is handed to the auditors.
  • Judges are not allowed to discuss any entries during or after the judging.
  • Once marks are handed into the auditors they cannot be changed.
  • The whole procedure is supervised and strictly controlled.

  • Finalists will be asked to submit a further four photographs, making a collection of eight.
