British hairdressing awards 2008 rules and regulations

- Finalists’ work in each category will be displayed in the British Hairdressing Awards Gallery at Salon International 2008 18th - 20th October, ExCeL, London Docklands.
- Information regarding successful candidates or winners will not be given out over the phone.
- Details of successful entrants will be published here, in Hairdressers Journal International and on the BHA website. Award winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Monday 24th November 2008 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
- Six finalists will be selected in each category with the exception of British Hairdresser of the Year.
- All work submitted for the British Hairdressing Awards must be solely the work of the entrant.
- All work is accepted in good faith. Instant disqualification will apply to any candidates found abusing this.
- Work submitted for British Hairdresser of the Year, must not have previously been published. Work submitted for all other categories may be published work.
- Hall of Fame awards are only given to those who have won the same award three times.
- Hairdressers Journal International retains exclusivity of the Awards’ photographs submitted for the British category until November 25th 2008.
- The deadline for entries is final. Entries will NOT be accepted after the stated date and time. Instant disqualification will be enforced.
- No employee of Hairdressers Journal International or Schwarzkopf Professional or their families will be allowed to enter or judge the British Hairdressing Awards.
- The judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Children under the age of 18 years by Monday 24th November 2008, may not attend the British Hairdressing Awards presentation evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel London.
- The dress code for the 24th November will be strictly adhered to. No denim. No trainers. Men will be required to wear a jacket and tie - preferably evening suit and women are required to dress in either cocktail or evening wear.
- Anyone seen or found to be taking illegal substances will be removed from the premises.
- Entry to the Great Room will be strictly by Great Room ticket ONLY.
- Purchasers of Ballroom tickets will NOT be given entry into the Great Room at any time.
