Sheriff Mehmet, men's grooming director at the British Barbers Association, was recently invited to the US to provide training for a new barbering school.
Oklahoma salon owners Rick Bennet, Greg Welchel and Tammy Briggs called on Sheriff to train their team ahead of the launch of their new academy, The Hair Arts Institute. It will now be the first barbering school in North America to be certified by the British Barbers Association.
Greg Welchel commented: "Having Sheriff at The Hair Arts Institute not only armed our team with the knowledge needed to teach others the art of shaving, he also instilled the rich tradition of men’s grooming and barbering, and the discipline it takes to perform the craft to an impressive standard."
Sheriff is the owner of the Envy Barber Group, with two salons in Essex and a new barbershop in East London.
