Bridal hair: how to create majestic volume

Published 25th Apr 2011 by Admin

Catwalk by TIGI has created four chic bridal style solutions in honour of the royal wedding. Mad Majestic Volume goes A-line to create the essential shape to carry off a veil. The look relies on turning the volume upside down and placing it through the mid-lengths and ends, keeping hair close to the crown at the roots.

Step OneStep Two
Step One: After using Catwalk Your Highness Elevating Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner, apply Catwalk Your Highness Thickening Gel Crème, working mainly from the roots to the mid-lengths.

Step Two: Blast-dry the hair, just working with the fingers, to create volume.

Step ThreeStep Four
Step Three: Create a low side parting, then spray Catwalk Your Highness Firm Hold Hairspray from roots to ends to prepare the hair.

Step Four: Start working a hot roller set off the side part, forward to the left, taking relatively large sections of hair, starting with smaller rollers.

Step FiveStep Six
Step Five: Work your way up to the head. To keep the hair flat through the top and voluminous through the bottom, do not roll the rollers straight to the root, but stop in the mid-lengths.

Step Six: Once the hair has cooled down, take out the rollers one by one and brush out each layer of rollers, section by section.

Step SevenStep Eight
Step Seven: Gently separate the hair to create the width.

Step Eight: Working at the front, for a cleaner finish, brush it closer to the head without separating the hair so much, leaving the definition.

Step Nine
Step Nine: Finish the set off with the Firm Hold Hairspray.
