Boutique style at mahogany manchester
With successful salons in London, Oxford and Australia, the Mahogany group was keen to expand, and with franchisee Neil Atkinson hailing from Manchester, the city was the obvious choice.
In keeping with the theme of the other Mahogany salons, Neil wanted a clean, flowing, modern and warm boutique-style salon - which was achieved in just 10 weeks.
"We do have a corporate look and there is a definite connection between each salon but each space has its own feel and character suitable to its surroundings, location and building type," says Neil .
With the help of Reis Design, Neil and co. created an open-plan with salon with dark wood flooring contrasting against white walls with a splash of acid green for interest.
The salon's focal point is two glass screens displays, which display the company's imagery.
"It's predominately an open-plan space, using clever design to separate the backwash," Neil adds.
"Feature glass screens are covered with giant images from our most recent collection and separate the main floor from the backwash and office areas.
"The artwork is translucent, allowing light to flood into the rear of the salon, creating a comfortable environment for clients at the backwash."
