Boutique chic in bloomsbury for decadence salon

When a friend of Slavica Bulatovic's decided to give up his salon in West London, she was keen to take on the challenge of refurbishing and running it herself. Having previously worked her way up from a receptionist to salon manager at Toni & Guy, Slavica took time out from hairdressing to focus on her psychology degree and caring for her children, but when the opportunity arose to run her own business she couldn't turn it down.

"The premises had a lot of potential" says Slavica. "It is surrounded by offices employing large numbers of professionals and is situated in an up-and-coming area in Bloomsbury."

To design her new-look salon, Slavica enrolled architect and interior designer Radmila Sobot. "Radmila designed a couple of other salons and I liked her style," she says. "Although her style is contemporary, I wanted more of a boutique-feel, so we found common ground to create Decadence."

The project took four months to complete, and Slavica says she is happy with the finished result. "The result is contemporary with a vintage twist, combining modern, French and antique influences," she explains.
