Stroud College in Gloucestershire has been appointed to provide training for
Blushes, one of the UK’s leading hair salon groups.Around 30 members of staff at the Gloucestershire-based group will undergo training and continuing professional development under the guidance of Stroud College in Gloucestershire (SCG) tutors.

Renaté Bennett, SCG’s Business Development Executive for Hair and Beauty, commented: "We are absolutely delighted that Blushes have selected us to carry out their training requirements. "I met Blushes' education manager Rachel Brown at an event and invited her to have a tour of our state-of-the-art hair and beauty training facilities in the new SCG building.

"Since then we’ve been awarded a contract to train up to 30 apprentices a year, as well as continuing professional training for other staff members from the salons in Gloucester and Cheltenham. "The course is tailored to Blushes’ own very specific requirements, and SCG tutors will carry out the training in their salons. We work in an innovative way to offer effective business training solutions across a huge range of specialist skills."Blushes Art director Rachel Brown – a finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards - added: "Blushes is renowned for delivering the best practical training in Gloucestershire. "Now, with Stroud College in Gloucestershire on board, we have the theory to back up that training – so the best training has just got even better."
