Blue tit partner with lime to offer free hair appointments
Lime, the world’s largest provider of shared electric bikes and scooters, has partnered with BCorp salon Blue Tit to offer Londoners free hair appointments throughout June to help the one in five (19%) bike or scooter riders who say that how they look after wearing a helmet is the reason they choose not to wear one.
The partnership follows the launch of the first ever ‘Helmet Hair Salon’ by Lime at Kings Cross Station on 15 June, which aims to show you why fear of a bad hair day should never be a barrier to safe and sustainable bike and scooter riding. There are 50 free 30 minute appointments available for booking courtesy of Lime at Blue Tit’s Portobello Road hair salon across Wednesday 22 June, 29 June and 6 July between 9-8pm. The following styling options are available for the free appointments:-
Dry styling (please ensure hair is clean beforehand) such as curling, beach waves and straightening.

Helmet hair prevention prep, including how to do the perfect braids (dutch, bubble, halo) and stylish slicked back or low ponytails.
The Blue Tit stylists will also give advice on how to prevent and fix helmet hair of all lengths and textures, from setting a style before riding, to flipping the parting and bringing back texture with dry shampoo.
Anyone can visit EventBrite to book a free appointment with an expert stylist, courtesy of Lime. The first round of appointments for Wednesday 22 June were made available at 9am on Thursday 16 June on a first-come first-served basis. Appointments for Wednesday 29 June will drop on Thursday 23 June and the final round of appointments for Wednesday 6 July will go live on Thursday 30 June.
