Blue Tit, the London-based sustainable hairdressing group, has celebrated the opening of its tenth salon in London’s famous Portobello Road with a suitably glamorous party. The event was attended by an array of well-known bloggers.
The company began life in July 2011, created by directors Perry Patraszewski, Andi Hinteregger and Matt Gebbie. With aspirations to create a sustainable, eco-aware business fusing exemplary technical skill with premium care for its clients, Blue Tit would proceed to expand impressively, winning multiple awards in the process.
In keeping with the company's keen eye for trendy location, the latest salon joining the Blue Tit group is situated right in the heart of the world-famous Portobello Road in Notting Hill. This adds to an already impressive list of London locations including Brixton, Streatham and Oxford Street.
Guests were treated to an eclectic mix of cuts, colours and blow-dries whilst soaking up the salon's distinctive, colour-rich vibe. Boasting a fusion of Bauhaus-inspired simplicity, geometric prints and Italian-style colour blocking, the attention-grabbing interior became the talking point of the proceedings.
Blue Tit co-founder Perry Patraszewski explained the inspiration behind Blue Tit Portobello’s notably colourful ambience: “The salon is reflective of co-owner Kamila’s personality and style. She is known for her bubbly character and so we decided that her spirited personality would be best represented by a colour-rich interior.”
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed pizza served up by London-based Sons of Slice and beer courtesy of Hackney brewery The Five Points. Contributing to the atmosphere was a selection of tracks from UK's own DJ Grainger, as well as G&T's served up by the local cocktail bar, The Distillery.
