Big brands get set to stun at salon international 2013 ghd-salon-internationalAs always, this year’s Salon International will be the launchpad for numerous services and products and the international stage for some of the biggest names in hairdressing. Here’s what just a few of Salon International 2013’s exhibitors have planned for their stand in The Hair Show. Styling super-brand ghd will be celebrating the launch of ground-breaking styler ghd eclipse. Its new, bespoke stand will play host to plenty of ‘eclipse in action’ trial-and-demo opportunities, a bigger and busier stage area and an impressive line-up of guest artists including creative director Zoe Irwin, the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s FAME team in addition to Ken Picton, Natalia Maxwell and Joey Ferraro and Richard Phillipart. Celebrating 50 years of hair, fashion and heritage in 2013, Toni & Guy will be launching its Fifty Years History Book at Salon International, with both Toni Mascolo, CEO, and Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, global creative director, on hand for book signings. Salon International will also see Toni & Guy launch its education collection 50/50, along with the collection book and DVD, directed by Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck and created by the international artistic team. Wahl never fails to entertain and educate at Salon International and this year you could be part of the action on stage. One lucky person is being given the chance to cut alongside Michael Damiano, Carl Blake, 5ive and the man himself, European artistic director, Simon Shaw. Simon Shaw’s Search for a Star will see 12 finalists competing head-to-head live on stage during the opening day of Salon International with the winner invited to stay for the next two days, working with the Wahl team during live stage demos. tigiThroughout Salon International, the TIGI international creative team will be on the stand each day, sharing information on TIGI global education. The team will present key looks from the TIGI Masterbrand collection and the TIGI Academy collection, giving a detailed insight into the very latest techniques and artistic ideas currently being assimilated into courses in TIGI academies across the globe. Colour experts and business advisors will be on hand to discuss the many creative and business opportunities available, sharing new product information and giving an overview of the strong support package TIGI offers colour salons. This year Denman International is celebrating its 75th Anniversary at Salon International with a programme of events and educational seminars. The Denman stand will be displaying and demonstrating a selection of Denman hairdressing products as well as the Jack Dean male grooming range. Throughout the weekend, Denman will have top hairstylists and barbers on its stage providing high-quality education, as well as the latest trends and top tips using the Denman brushes. There will also be a second stand, dedicated to barbering visitors, which will include the Oster and Andis clipper brands. Salon International takes place at ExCel London from 12 to 14 October.
