Bhp team visits prison for a masterclass
Staff at Leeds hair salon, the Benson Hefti Partnership (BHP) recently took their skills and enthusiasm for the industry to hairdressing students at Askham Grange prison salon.
Led by BHP director, Christian Hefti and supported by a team of seven stylists, the students, who are all studying for an NVQ in hairdressing, took part in a specially prepared masterclass.
The full-day class included live demonstrations, using prison residents as models, followed by a question and answer session offering advice on looking for a job and how to impress salon bosses.
Said Christian: "We were really honoured to be invited to offer our expertise in training to the students. It was a fantastic experience and really wonderful to work with the students, who were truly eager to soak up as much information as possible."
