On Sunday 16 February, the 2025 BAFTAs were held at London's Royal Festival Hall, celebrating the biggest and best films to hit British screens in the last 12 months. As always, we had our sights set on one thing, and one thing only – the hair. Here, team HJ and some indsutry pros share their favourite hair looks from the 2025 BAFTAs...
Nico Parker
I was a big fan of Nico Parker’s 1920’s-inspired updo. Styled by Rio Sreedharan, the meticulous finger waves perfectly complemented her Chanel Haute Couture gown, which had a fun, flapper girl feel. Tendrils of Nico’s curls were breaking free of the low bun, adding a laidback touch to the look.

Selena Gomez
I loved Selena’s sleek updo at the 2025 BAFTA Awards. A far cry from just neat and snatched, Selena’s look, created by hairstylist Renato Campora, defines elegance with the stunning subtle wave-like details, deep side parting, and polished wrap-around bun.

Lupita Nyong'o
Completely obsessing over Lupita's loc bob. It's turning into another year of the bobs, and I'm here for it - let's keep stylists cutting! Vernon Francois was the brains behind Lupita's BAFTAs bob and the Olaplex Global Ambassador shared on Insta: "Always a mix of nerves and joy sharing #BTS of my process—watch closely, and you’ll see me using a straightening iron to squeeze the #locs for a whole new vibe." We're taking notes...

Pamela Anderson
The Colour
“Pamela Anderson’s hair at the 2025 BAFTAs was my favourite look of the night. It felt effortlessly relatable and achievable for anyone. The soft, honey-blonde tones, layered cut, and bangs align perfectly with the current ‘old money’ trend, while the darker root makes it both lower-maintenance and more affordable. It’s a style that feels natural and wearable for everyday life. To recreate this look, I’d start by lightening the hair with L’Oreal Professionnel Pro Multi-Tech Bleach. Then, I’d apply a level 7 Dialight root shadow for depth and dimension, finishing with a 10.32 toner on the ends to achieve that gorgeous golden blonde. A beautifully blended, timeless blonde that’s both chic and easy to maintain.”

The Style
“Pamela Andreson looked absolutely breathtaking on the red carpet at the BAFTAs, very angelic. She elevated her long golden locks with wispy curtain bangs, which beautifully frame and soften her rectangle face shape. The bangs add texture and dimension to the hair, so I’d recommend a large round brush when blow drying the hair to achieve that fluffy, dramatic affect. For me, they harmonised the overall look, adding the finishing touch – delicate and super feminine.”

India Amarteifio
“India Amarteifio’s updo created an almost crown-like effect at the BAFTAs. It was a striking choice that complemented her textured hair beautifully. It worked in harmony with the natural volume and structure of her hair. The combination of the textured finish of the updo and the bangs worked perfectly, offering both movement and structure. This style brought attention to her features while still feeling fresh and untamed, showcasing the beauty of natural texture in a sophisticated, high-fashion way.
“This look is a great example of how textured hair can be styled into something chic and red-carpet worthy without compromising its natural volume and form. It also suggests a shift toward more relaxed yet polished styles on the red carpet, where volume and texture can stand out as a statement of their own."
