Bba and salon services join forces for barbering training PrintThe British Barbers' Association (BBA) and leading hair and beauty supplier, Salon Services, have announced a partnership to support training and product availability in the UK’s growing barbering industry. As part of this collaboration, BBA will use Salon Services' facilities, as BBA Training Academies to hold training sessions and act as accreditation body for a select number of Salon Services courses, to increase training opportunities in the sector. The partnership will also see Salon Services introduce BBA endorsement to its line of barbering products. Mike Taylor for the BBA, said: “Our members told us that they needed more local venues for courses that will allow them to develop and “upskill.” This partnership will give them access to training academies across the UK, with more to be introduced in 2015. The BBA will use Salon Services’ fantastic facilities will be holding training events, information roadshows and opportunities for our members to meet up and shape the barbering industry.” Richard Hull, group vice president and managing director for SBH UK & Ireland, commented: “From our position at the forefront of the hair and beauty industry, we have seen the male grooming sector flourish in recent years. We’re committed to ensuring that professionals have access to the training and products they need to give the best possible service to their customers, and look forward to working with the BBA and its members to support the continued growth of the sector.”
