Barrie stephen king street enjoys a contemporary makeover

Barrie Stephen King Street has been on the receiving end of a £150,000 refurbishment, after the Leicester salon owner decided to update his salon into a big-city, super-glamorous space. Working with designer Charlie Hearn, he opted for an off-white contemporary décor complemented by porcelain tiles, striped vinyl and hard-wearing walnut flooring. An illuminated, colour-changing staircase is one of the main features, which leads to the mezzanine level and adds colour to the otherwise monochrome environment. A splash of colour comes from the waiting chairs and extravagant flower displays.
