Setting up a pop-up salon backstage for three days, the art team stylists were on hand to deliver stage-worthy styles for an array of bands and backstage guests.
More than 50 people popped in for appointments over the course of the weekend, with requests ranging from updos to complete style transformations.
Barrie says: "Getting behind local events is important to us. I love my city and love contributing to the things that make it great. Styling the performers was a good way to shout about our work and also to give the team an amazing opportunity outside of the salon environment. Summer Sundae is now in its 11th year and this is the first time they've ever offered any form of backstage hairdressing. We're glad we were the ones to set the trend at this ever-popular event."
Styled over the weekend by the Barrie Stephen art team members, Paul Forrest, Nicole Storer, Joe Needham and Kelly Grundy (assisted by Joe Davies and Paige Barnes) were:
Olly from the Young Knives; BBC Introducing East Midlands competition winners, Dancing Lotus; legendary Japanese girl punk band, Shonen Knife and Leicester bands
I am in Love, Silent Devices, Dark Dark Horse, Martha Bean and Joel Owen and the Antoine Band.
