Barber and Parlour is a new three-floor concept space in Shoreditch, boasting Cheeky Hair by Josh Wood and Neville Barber alongside a restaurant, cinema and retail.
The Cheeky Parlour has existed in the space for a year, but has undergone a makeover at the hands of Josh Wood and now boasts cuts, colours and clip-in extensions alongside the original menu of blow-dries and express beauty treatments.
"I loved the idea of fast beauty," Josh told us, "but I don't believe it has to be faceless. There's no such thing as one size fits all any more - this isn't about picking a look off a menu."
Instead, options at Cheeky relate to clients' level of commitment; from a no-strings cut to fully-committed colour. Also on offer is a full menu of beauty treatments and a shop, with a host of cult brands as well as Wella Professional and Cheeky hair products.
Downstairs, Neville Barber offers men's cuts, shaves and treatments inspired by traditional gent's grooming. Cut-throat shaves, beard trims and men's manicures are all on offer - as well as complimentary shoe shines.
Elsewhere in Barber and Parlour you'll find an all-day kitchen and bar with a focus on health and wellness, fashion and accessories for sale and, in the basement, the Electric cinema. In line with its sister site in Notting Hill, this is no ordinary cinema - deep armchairs with footstools and cashmere blankets ensure this is a truly luxurious experience.
Josh already has plans to make the most of the wealth of entertainment on offer below the salon - we love the idea of a girls' nights in complete with beauty treatments, films, cocktails and blow-dries all under one roof!
