Peter Gray created hair for the morning after the night before for the Badgley Mischka Autumn/Winter 2015 show at New York Fashion Week.
The show: Badgley Mischka Autumn/Winter 2015
The hair team: Peter Gray for Moroccanoil
The look: A textured, loose twisted beehive finished with a gilded rose accessory.
The inspiration: The 1940s glamour of the collection with a modern twist - hair for the walk of shame; or 'stride of pride' as Peter referred to it.
The key product: Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium
Get the Look
1. Starting with clean hair, lightly mist with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to create a strong, shiny foundation.
2. Rough dry hair with fingertips to create loose, piece-y texture
3. Working with a 1 ½" barrel curling iron, curl 2" sections of hair in opposite directions. Spritz Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to create soft definition and strong hold.
4. Apply Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo
(available exclusively in the USA in late March 2015) directly to the roots to create the gritty, lived-in, 'walk of shame' texture.
5. Starting at the crown, backcomb hair in 1 ½" sections, moving from crown towards the front of the hair. To ensure even crown height, count the number of brush strokes and gradually increase strokes as you work towards the top of head.
6. Once the crown area is teased, pull sections from ear to temple on both sides and twist towards the back. At the back of the head, secure twists with bobby pins in a cross shape and mist Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to ensure long-lasting hold.
7. Finish by putting the ornate metallic rose into the twist and mist a generous amount of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to create a shiny, runway-ready style.
