Awards: the countdown...
WINNING
STREAK
The hard work is officially over. The entries are in, each one has been carefully checked against the criteria and then put through the rigorous judging processes to ensure only the best are rewarded with such well-respected accolades.
After being put under scrutiny by category sponsors, industry experts, an army of mystery clients, and finally, the all-important practical trade tests, all that's left to do is add up the scores for each entry, before we can reveal this year's finalists for the British Beauty and Spa Awards.
Entrants will have to remain on tenterhooks for a little while longer before we publish the shortlist in next month's issue.
A select few, co-ordinating the awards process, have taken a vow of secrecy and will remain tight-lipped keeping any hint or suggestion of the winners strictly under wraps, that is until the celebrity host (also a closely guarded secret until the night) welcomes the sponsor to the stage, the envelope is opened, and the winner announced.
"We are delighted with the amount of entries we received for this year's awards," said Jayne Lewis-Orr, publisher and editor-in-chief of
Health and Beauty Salon."It is evident that everyone who has entered is truly passionate about the industry. Entrants have gone to so much effort - documenting case studies and putting their entries together, I feel proud to be part of such a vibrant industry," she added.
So what can the winners expect?

After battling it out against the toughest competition, the winners can benefit from a wealth of publicity - including regional coverage and editorial in Health and Beauty Salon. They will also be recognised as industry experts in their chosen field, while their businesses will be regarded among the best their region offers.
Every year tickets and tables for this glamorous event sell-out fast, so the event's project executive, Dan Eversfield reminds readers to pre-order tickets to guarantee their salon team's place.
"After seeing the quality of award entries, I can guarantee the event will bring together some of the most innovative and successful people in the industry," he said. "Regardless of who wins, the evening will be a celebration of the beauty industry and those who work so hard within it."
