Aveda raised funds and awareness in aid of the current global water crisis with its annual Earth Month Auction and Gala Dinner.
Celebrities including Tamzin Outhwaite and All Saint Nicole Appleton rubbed shoulders with Aveda salon owners and representatives at the glittering Aqua Nueva bar and restaurant in London.
Christie's auctioneer, Kate McKenzie, led a charity auction with sports tickets, holidays and a portrait with a top London fashion photograph all up for grabs.
Now in its 13th year, Aveda Earth Month raises funds and awareness for environmental projects around the world. Since 1999, the Aveda network has raised more than $22 million to help support organizations that directly affect environmental change; since 2006, $16 million of this amount has been earmarked for water-related causes.
This year's dinner specifically supported the charity Water Aid, which reaches out to communities in unprivileged climates across the globe who are in need of safe and clean water.
