Aveda has announced the appointment of Joe Hill as its new International Technical Capability Manager, set to lead on the colour education for the Aveda International network.
In this new role, Joe will be responsible for inspiring and mentoring the International Aveda network through colour education. He will support and enable UKI and EMEA regions to grow their colour growth targets, develop the technical capability of the Aveda International network and work on design creation and the execution of industry leading colour education.
On the change, Joe shared: “It really is an exciting time to be part of the Aveda education team. My new role is a fantastic opportunity for me to share the brand’s unique position in hair colour on a much broader scale, while also supporting the development of technical capabilities and business growth across the international network.”
Hayley Hughes, Aveda National Education Manager UK and Ireland, added: “Joe has always been a huge asset to Aveda education. This appointment is in recognition of the outstanding performance and the remarkable contribution Joe has made to the brand and salon network in his previous role as Aveda Colour Specialist, UKI.”
Joe first joined Aveda in 2019 as its UK Colour Specialist for the UK and Ireland, responsible for growing hair colour in the region and creating colour content for the UKI market. He developed Aveda UK strategies, leading the elevation of the brand colour experience while building the capability of salon artists to maximise business opportunities.
He also had a hand in driving artist generated content for Aveda’s Instagram account, quickly becoming the face of Aveda Colour within the UKI.
This news follows a productive period for Aveda, having run an online Instagram competition last month challenging its artists to post their ‘nature-inspired’ hair colour looks to showcase its range. You can read the full story here.
